Dear PBISS Community,
As we draw the curtains on a wonderful first term here at PBISS, I am thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had together. The past few months have been a tapestry of vibrant events, engaging activities, and meaningful celebrations that have truly embodied the spirit of our international community.
From the enchanting Loy Kratong festivities where our students beautifully floated their wishes and hopes on their created lotus-shaped vessels, to the insightful commemoration of World Mental Health Day that emphasized the importance of well-being within our school, each event has been a testament to our commitment to holistic education.
Our Wai Kru day was a touching tribute to our teachers, acknowledging their dedication and guidance, while Halloween brought a touch of playful spookiness to our campus, showcasing the creativity and joy of our students.
The Festive period was filled with excitement as we watched our students put on wonderful performances and celbrated the end of the year with our Christmas Fayre.
I want to take this moment to express my deepest gratitude to all our parents for your unwavering support throughout this term. Your involvement, encouragement, and partnership in your child’s educational journey are invaluable. Together, we make a formidable team dedicated to nurturing and empowering our students.
Looking ahead, I am filled with optimism and enthusiasm for the remainder of the academic year. Let’s continue to work closely together, hand in hand, for the betterment of our students. Your involvement and collaboration are integral to creating a thriving environment where our children can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
As we continue through term 2 I want to personally wish you and your family the very best.
Thank you once again for being an integral part of the PBISS family. Here’s to a fantastic term behind us and an even more promising journey ahead in the new year.

Welcome to Term 2 in EYFS!
The first term was a remarkable journey filled with friendship, learning, and fun. We commend the accomplishments of our young learners in Term 1 and look forward to the ongoing journey of exploration and growth in the months ahead.
> Nursery: In our Nursery program, Term 2 begins with the theme of “Science and Exploration: My Five Senses”. This exploration is not merely an adventure; it’s a journey into the wonders of scientific discovery. Our little learners will delve into the fascinating realm of their five senses, discovering how sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell shape their understanding of the world. Through hands-on activities, engaging experiments, and sensory-rich experiences, we aim to spark curiosity and lay the foundation for a lifelong love of scientific inquiry. This theme invites our Nursery students to embark on a sensory voyage, where every discovery becomes a stepping stone in their early scientific explorations.
> FS1: In the upcoming term, our FS1 adventurers are set to embark on an exciting journey “Around the World.” This theme is a passport to exploration, where young minds will traverse diverse cultures, landscapes, and traditions. Through engaging activities and immersive experiences, our FS1 learners will not only broaden their geographical knowledge but also develop a profound appreciation for the rich tapestry of our global community. This theme will unfold as a vibrant tapestry of discovery, fostering a sense of interconnectedness and global awareness in our young explorers.
> FS2: Dive into the wonders of exploration as our FS2 adventurers plunge “Under the Sea and Islands” in the upcoming term. This exciting theme invites young minds to discover the mysteries of the ocean and the characteristics of islands. From vibrant coral reefs to the fascinating creatures that inhabit these watery worlds, our FS2 learners will embark on a journey of marine discovery. Through hands-on activities, imaginative play, and creative projects, this theme will not only deepen their understanding of marine ecosystems but also nurture their sense of wonder and appreciation for the biodiversity found beneath the waves. Get ready for an underwater adventure!
Multisensory Learning: Multisensory exploration is integral to our EYFS program, playing a crucial role in shaping the early learning environment by involving multiple senses simultaneously. This approach recognizes the diverse learning styles and preferences of children. Rooted in the rich landscape of early childhood, where curiosity flourishes, multisensory experiences not only enhance cognitive development but also foster creativity and critical thinking. Informed by the neuroscience of learning, this approach accommodates the varied ways in which children absorb information, contributing to an inclusive and dynamic educational atmosphere that lays a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
As we continue through Term 2, our hope is for each child to enjoy a journey marked by friendship, exploration, continuous learning, and most importantly more fun. Together, let’s make this term an enriching chapter in the growth and development of our young learners.
